QNET has categorically rejected any allegations linking the company to human trafficking, exploitation, or the mistreatment of individuals. The company expressed deep concern over reports involving Senegalese nationals who were allegedly deceived with false promises of overseas travel or employment, stressing that such acts are criminal scams perpetrated by individuals unlawfully misusing the QNET name without authorization.
QNET emphasizes that it does not offer jobs in exchange for money, visas, overseas placements, or investment schemes. Any individual or group making such promises while claiming affiliation with QNET is acting fraudulently. The company has consistently urged the public to exercise caution and to independently verify any opportunity presented in its name before engaging.
Commenting on the issue, Biram Fall, Deputy Chairman, QNET Sub-Saharan Africa, said:
“QNET is deeply saddened by reports of individuals being misled and harmed through false representations made in our name. We wish to be unequivocal: QNET does not promise jobs, visas, or investment returns. Anyone making such claims is not authorized by the company and should be reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.”
In response to rising incidents of scams falsely linked to its brand in West Africa, QNET in July 2025, entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to support efforts aimed at dismantling criminal networks engaged in scams and human trafficking under the guise of QNET.
As a result of this collaboration, joint operations conducted in October led to the rescue of 26 victims of human trafficking and the arrest of nine suspects in Kasoa, Ghana.
This was followed in November by another coordinated operation that resulted in the arrest of 25 suspects and the rescue of 295 victims linked to employment and trafficking scams falsely associated with the QNET brand.
In Ghana, QNET has supported enforcement efforts by sharing information with the Ghana Immigration Service, which contributed to action being taken against individuals involved in trafficking and recruitment scams falsely linked to the company. These cases resulted in prosecutions under Ghanaian law, including custodial sentences and other court-mandated penalties. Between 2022 – 2025, QNET has received and pursued more than 150 complaints related to such misconduct, working closely with the authorities to address each case.
Alongside enforcement efforts, QNET has rolled out its QNET Against Scams public awareness campaign across several West African countries, including Senegal, to educate the public about fraudulent job and visa schemes misusing its name. Building on the progress made in Ghana, the company has stated its intention to strengthen engagement with government agencies, regulators, and other stakeholders in Senegal to address brand misuse and support similar preventive and enforcement outcomes.
Members of the public are encouraged to verify any opportunities claiming an association with QNET by contacting the company directly through its Compliance Hotline on WhatsApp at +233 2566 30005 or via email at [email protected].
QNET reaffirmed its commitment to working constructively with the media, law-enforcement agencies, and communities in Senegal and across the region to combat scams, protect individuals from harm, and clearly dissociate its name from illegal activities carried out by unauthorized actors.
