QNET, a global leader in lifestyle and wellness direct selling, has launched the “QNET Against Scams” campaign in Senegal, reaffirming its commitment to combating fraud and protecting the community from scams misusing its brand.

This public service initiative emphasizes transparency, consumer education, and collaboration to fight fraudulent activities targeting vulnerable citizens. Leveraging billboards, radio, TV, print, and social media, the campaign will spotlight key strategies to help individuals identify and avoid scams. Strategic locations in Dakar already feature campaign visuals, with expansions planned for Saint-Louis and Mbour.

A 2023 survey by Afrobarometer revealed that 66% of Senegalese citizens identified corruption and fraud as major concerns, underscoring the need for initiatives like this one to protect consumers and rebuild trust in businesses.

“Scams not only harm individuals but also undermine community trust and economic progress,” said Biram Fall, QNET’s Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa. “This campaign is more than just a direct response to the misuse of QNET’s name, it is also a call to action for communities, authorities, and businesses to unite against exploitation.”

Mr. Fall elaborated, “QNET is about empowerment, not exploitation. Through education and collaboration, we aim to ensure every Senegalese can confidently distinguish legitimate opportunities from fraudulent schemes. We remain committed to transparency and ethical practices as cornerstones of our operations.”

The campaign will prioritize:

  • Raising public awareness about scams misrepresenting QNET.
  • Educating consumers on recognizing legitimate direct selling opportunities.
  • Partnering with law enforcement and government bodies to hold fraudsters accountable.
  • Strengthening trust in QNET through enhanced transparency and integrity.

QNET is open to collaborating with public and private stakeholders to amplify the campaign’s reach and impact. “We welcome partnerships that share our vision of an informed and fraud-free Senegal,” added Mr. Fall.

The company encourages citizens to report fraudulent activities linked to QNET via WhatsApp at +233 256 630 005 or email at [email protected]
