You may be already familiar with the super immunity booster vitamin C, and you know how it aids hydration and can thwart colds. You may even know about some of the other “popular” vitamins and minerals.

But do you know of glutathione, the master antioxidant that can boost immunity levels and protect us from serious health conditions?

Essentially, glutathione is a compound of three amino acids — glutamate, glycine, and cysteine — and is made naturally by the liver. It also aids numerous bodily functions almost from the time we’re born.

But there’s truly so much more that’s special about glutathione for immunity. Here are five things you absolutely need to know about this most amazing of antioxidants:

It protects the body at the cellular level

Glutathione is naturally present in cells throughout the body. So, it works, first and foremost, by preventing and delaying cell damage and fighting against oxidative stress.

Oxidative stress occurs when there’s an imbalance between the production of free radicals (unstable atoms that can damage cells and cause illness) and the body’s ability to counteract and neutralise them. What glutathione does is reduce and halt this process. This is why the compound has been found to be effective in treating all sorts of serious conditions, from liver disease and age-related conditions like Alzheimer’s to even cancer.

It can help fight against autoimmune diseases and treat respiratory conditions

Our immune systems create antibodies that protect against harmful substances. In autoimmune disorders, however, the body can’t distinguish between healthy cells and foreign invaders, which results in it attacking and damaging regular cells. Glutathione, in the case of autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease and lupus, can boost tissue recovery and balance the immune system.

Incidentally, did you know that glutathione can also aid respiratory conditions like asthma and cystic fibrosis? Yes, n-acetylcysteine, a byproduct of glutathione, is used in certain respiratory medications to thin mucous and reduce inflammation. So, upping your glutathione levels could help you breathe better.

It can improve oral health

Toothpaste ProSpark QNET

Studies have found that people with tooth issues and gum disease tend to have lower glutathione levels in their saliva and mouth. This is why oral health experts believe that glutathione in toothpaste can limit tissue damage, enhance wound healing, reduce tooth discolouration and massively improve dental conditions.

It’s also the reason so many people have been able to see and feel the difference after using ProSpark from QNET, the only toothpaste in the world that contains the three amino acids – glycine, glutamine and cysteine – that are required for glutathione synthesis inside the cells.

Aids healing and improves athletic ability

Due to its unique cell- and tissue-repairing properties, glutathione can aid and speed up healing. It’s also been found to prevent severe inflammation and help COVID-19 patients recover quicker. Best of all, though, is that it can improve your physicality.

Essentially, adenosine 5′-triphosphate, or ATP, is the main molecule responsible for storing and transferring energy in cells. The glutathione in our bodies, however, is really what helps maintain adequate ATP levels and ensure that you can run, play tennis, swim and exercise effectively.

You can boost your levels of glutathione for immunity

Like the low levels of glutathione in the mouth in persons with oral health conditions, a lack of the master antioxidant in our bodies overall has come to be associated with serious health conditions like Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, hepatitis and cancer.

For the record, glutathione depletion in our bodies can occur for several reasons, including poor nutrition, stress, infections, toxins in the environment and, most importantly, age. That’s right, glutathione production tends to reduce from the age of 20. Hence, maintaining adequate levels of glutathione in the body is vital.

The good news, however, is that that’s easy to achieve, thanks to EDG3 Plus.

EDG3 Plus is the new and improved version of EDG3, QNET’s popular immunity booster, designed to increase the body’s glutathione levels and strengthen immunity. And for added effectiveness, this enhanced version has been augmented with turmacin, a powerful turmeric extract, and vitamin D3, a more active form of vitamin D that can help strengthen bones and protect against a whole host of infections.

Just mix a sachet of EDG3 Plus in 120ml water, stir well, and consume for five days to begin your journey to a better immune system and improved health.
